Ben Gibson

Ben studied at the University of Sheffield graduating in 2001. Before co-founding Gibson Thornley in 2013, Ben was an Associate Director at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and delivered a number of key projects including a private housing development in Gloucester Crescent, Camden and the RIBA Stirling Prize nominated Kentish Town Health Centre.

Ben sits on the Southwark and Islington Design Review Panels and co-ran an undergraduate design unit at the University of Greenwich. He has been a visiting critic at London Metropolitan University and Sheffield University and has also lectured at Piacenza Summer School, Milan, the New London Architecture (NLA) and University of Ulster.

Matt Thornley

Matt studied at Newcastle University and the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Before co-founding Gibson Thornley in 2013, Matt was an Associate at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and delivered a number of key projects including the RIBA Stirling Prize nominated Westminster Academy.

Matt is a visiting critic at the Bartlett, the University of Greenwich and London Metropolitan University.
