Lucie Peacock joined Gibson Thornley Architects in 2021, drawn by the practice’s ability to deliver thoughtful and contextual buildings at an urban scale. Lucie has a strong interest in socially conscious, collaborative design, and since joining has worked on commercial, research and residential buildings, often at urban scale and with complex groups of clients and stakeholders. She brings her extensive experience of delivering BIM projects to the practice’s BIM development group, and also contributes to the EDI working party, which develops in-house standards and policies.
With an interest in education, Lucie assists with work experience placements in the practice, and ran a workshop series at Tech City College in collaboration with the Aspirations Academies Trust and the Education Funding Agency.
For Lucie, good architecture comes out of a rigorous investigation of community and the urban context, and the development of a strong design methodology.
